What Does a Program Lead Do?
As a Program Lead, you'll continue providing direct support while helping ensure the success of the home.

Responsibilities include:
  • Building meaningful, person-centered relationships that promote independence, dignity, and choice
  • Assisting individuals with daily living activities including personal care, meal preparation, household tasks, and hygiene
  • Supporting community outings, appointments, recreation, employment, and personal goals
  • Encouraging independence, confidence, and skill development
  • Administering medications and completing documentation accurately
  • Maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming home environment
  • Serving as a mentor and positive role model for Direct Support Professionals
  • Advocating for the choices, rights, and well-being of the people you support

Qualifications
  • Previous experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) or in a Direct Support Professional role required
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to become an approved company driver
  • Ability to pass a national background check
  • Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and assist individuals with mobility needs
