As we continue to expand, we are seeking experienced and motivated Party Chiefs to join our team in our Middleton office (The Villages, FL).

Job Description
As a Party Chief at CFB, you will lead a field crew in conducting a variety of land and construction surveys. This role is critical to ensuring accurate field data collection, proper equipment care, and seamless communication between field and office teams. You’ll play a key part in project execution while mentoring newer team members and staying up to date with surveying technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a field crew in conducting various land and construction surveys.

• Coordinate and communicate daily with project managers, field coordinators, and office staff.

• Operate and maintain survey equipment.

• Upload/download field data and maintain accurate field notes.

• Ensure care, charging, and functionality of all survey instruments.

• Safely operate a company vehicle to and from job sites.

• Follow all safety procedures and regulations on-site.

• Mentor and train newer employees.

• Stay current with surveying technology and equipment updates.

• Perform minor equipment adjustments and ensure data accuracy.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in land surveying as a Party Chief/Crew Chief required.

• Proficiency with GPS, robotic total stations, and data collectors.

• Strong understanding of land surveying methods, practices, and terminology.

• Ability to read and interpret construction plans.

• Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
