JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for assisting the Head Golf Professional with the retail vision in the golf shop as well as the duties of the Golf Shop Sales Associate. Provides a friendly, welcoming atmosphere which will encourage residents and guests to have an enjoyable and safe time.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Includes, but not limited to)
- Assist in maintaining inventory levels at assigned club location.
- Re-order replacement merchandise per re-ordering schedule.
- Receive merchandise and match packing slips, confirm quantities, sku #’s, pricing, labels, costs, style, color, etc.
- Verify retail invoices.
- Review daily reports and clear any negative variances.
- Prepare and maintain golf shop displays.
- Organize, straighten, and maintain sales floor and stockroom for a fresh/neat appearance, including communicating retail tasks to management team.
- Conduct physical inventory spot checks and report any variances to management.
- Act as lead within the facility inventory team in conjunction with management, give direction, support, and handle the inventory reconciliation as required.
- Place, track and deliver Special Orders and Returns.
- Maintain inventory of supplies (gift wrapping, bags, boxes, etc.)
- Order as needed staff uniforms to include shirts and hats and re-order when needed.
- Assist as needed or requested at the Golf Shop Sales Counter.

- Performs other duties as assigned.
- May be expected to perform additional duties in an emergency.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Three (3) years or more of retail or retail related experience and two (2) years or more as an experienced golfer and/or equivalent combination.
MINIMUM CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Valid Florida Driver’s License required.
- All candidates and employees must successfully pass background screening.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (Includes, but not limited to)
Knowledge
- Must have working knowledge of golf rules, etiquette, and management practices, as well as retail and inventory procedures.
Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, time management and problem-solving skills.
- Applicant must have strong working knowledge and use of Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Abilities
- Ability to read/write and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to demonstrate outstanding customer service skills.
EQUIPMENT (Includes, but not limited to)
Position regularly requires the use of office equipment, including but not limited to telephones, computers and productivity software.
