Module Estimator

Summary:

The Module Estimator will prepare cost estimating services for the preparation of bids and projects to support Structural assembly and fabrication. Ensures all costs are properly captured and documented.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing detailed estimates in accordance with the scope of work.
• Conducts bid review meeting with the Manager of Estimating, Project Manager, and/or business line management to finalize bid, markup, and strategies.
• Communicate with module team to develop subcontract packages.
• Manage bid pricing from subcontractors.
• Analyzes blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for products, projects, or services, applying knowledge of specialized methodologies, techniques, principles, or processes.
• Ensure timely completion of estimates.
• Understand all scopes of work and price accordingly.
• Applies basic technical skills and knowledge to complete assigned work.
• Manages own time to meet agreed targets; develops plans for short-term work activities in own area.
• Ability to work in teams or as an individual.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills.

Education and Experience:

• Associate’ or Bachelor’ degree in relevant field or relevant work experience.
• Typically has 2-5 years’ relevant experience.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to reach, stand, walk, grasp, feel, talk, hear, see and to perform repetitive motions.
• Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
