Responsibilities

The Manager, Strategic Accounts & Business Development is responsible for driving growth and operational success for U.S. Physiatry Staffing's locum tenens business. This role requires a proven background in physician and advanced practice provider recruiting, with a strong emphasis on locum tenens staffing.

 

The ideal candidate will leverage their recruiting expertise to develop client relationships, partner with healthcare organizations to understand workforce needs, and successfully match qualified providers to locum opportunities nationwide. Reporting directly to the COO, this individual will oversee recruiting functions, support business development efforts, and collaborate with Operations and Leadership to ensure exceptional service for clients and providers alike.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Human Resources, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of physician staffing or locum tenens recruiting experience required.
  • Demonstrated success in recruiting and placing physicians in locum tenens assignments.
  • Minimum of 3 years of leadership, team lead, or management experience.
  • Strong understanding of physician recruiting, provider sourcing strategies, credentialing processes, and locum tenens operations.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with physicians, healthcare executives, and client organizations.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.
  • Experience managing recruiting pipelines, provider databases, CRM/ATS platforms, and performance metrics.

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Experience recruiting PM&R physicians or other physician specialties in a locum tenens environment.
  • Established network of physician candidates and industry contacts.
  • Experience working with hospitals, inpatient rehabilitation facilities, LTACHs, and post-acute care providers.
  • Experience managing physician recruiters or staffing teams.
  • Knowledge of physician licensing, credentialing, privileging, and onboarding processes.
  • Business development or client management experience within a locum tenens staffing organization.
