Position Summary

We are seeking a professional, customer-focused, and dependable Security Receptionist Officer to support security operations at a corporate facility in The Woodlands, TX.

This position serves as the first point of contact for employees, visitors, vendors, and contractors entering the facility. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service while maintaining security protocols and access control procedures in a professional office environment.

This is a close-knit organization with a strong team culture. Many employees remain with the company for years due to the positive work environment and family-oriented atmosphere. Teamwork is essential, and officers are expected to support one another when coverage is needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Reception & Access Control

  • Serve as the primary point of contact at the facility's main entrance.
  • Greet employees, visitors, vendors, and contractors in a professional and welcoming manner.
  • Verify employee access when badges are unavailable and ensure proper authorization before granting entry.
  • Manage visitor and contractor check-in procedures.
  • Collect and document required visitor information accurately.
  • Issue temporary badges or credentials in accordance with site procedures.
  • Direct visitors and contractors to the appropriate location within the facility.

Security Operations

  • Monitor access control procedures and maintain site security standards.
  • Ensure all visitors and contractors comply with established site requirements.
  • Identify and report security concerns, suspicious activity, or policy violations.
  • Maintain accurate visitor logs and security documentation.
  • Support site management with administrative and security-related tasks.

Customer Service

  • Provide exceptional customer service to all employees and visitors.
  • Answer questions and provide assistance professionally and courteously.
  • Maintain a positive and helpful attitude at all times.
  • Represent both the client and security program in a professional manner.

Administrative Duties

  • Maintain accurate records and visitor documentation.
  • Complete reports and logs as required.
  • Utilize security software and office systems effectively.
  • Assist with general administrative functions related to reception and security operations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required, or willing to obtain GED within 6 months of hire
  • Minimum 1 year of receptionist, customer service, administrative, front desk, or security experience preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a reception or corporate office environment.
  • Previous access control or security experience.
  • Experience interacting with vendors, contractors, and corporate personnel.
  • Experience maintaining visitor logs and security records.
  • Lenel access control experience preferred.

Technical Skills

Candidates should be comfortable using:

  • Microsoft Word
  • Microsoft Excel

  • Microsoft Teams
  • Windows operating systems
  • Visitor management platforms
  • Security reporting systems
  • Lenel access control systems (preferred)

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit and stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in person and by phone.
  • Ability to maintain focus while managing multiple tasks.
  • Ability to assist visitors and move throughout the facility as needed.
