The farm kitchen prepares a variety of baked goods for the Farmstand and Cafe. We are looking for an individual that is able to work closely with the Head Baker and Baking Assistant II to prepare fresh baked goods on a daily basis.
Responsibilities
- Assisting Head Baker with mixing ingredients, shaping and baking products
- Supervising Asst Baker II when Head Baker is not present
- Communicating daily with Head Baker
- Maintaining inventory for baked goods
- Assisting with other baking and kitchen tasks as needed
- Maintaining a clean workspace
Qualifications
The ideal candidate is detail oriented and able to follow instructions. Ability to work efficiently and independently in a fast paced kitchen. Candidate must be able to follow recipes. Applicants must be able to lift 50 lbs and be comfortable spending a full shift on their feet. Kitchen experience preferred but will train the right candidate. The position is for 5 days per week, including weekends if needed.
Compensation
The Baking Assistant II position is part-time and seasonal, from May through December, with benefits including paid sick leave, fresh produce, a 20% discount at our farmstand and cafe, access to an employee assistance program, and a 403(b) retirement plan with a 5% employer safe harbor match. Pay range is $16-18/hr, depending on experience. Ability to work the full season is a plus.
