Job DetailsJob Location: Thibodaux-2 - Thibodaux, LA 70301Job description Drives CCD delivery vehicle over an established route to deliver, merchandise, and sell CCD products, collects payment from customers, and makes change by performing the following duties. The focus of this position is to complete tasks consistently, carefully and systematically, in a service-friendly environment. It requires you to be patient, pleasant, and friendly, is a willing and sympathetic listener, a cheerful, amiable talker, and gets along easily with others. Delivering high-quality work completed carefully, systematically, at a relatively unhurried pace, and in the same way unless otherwise directed is what this position necessitates. Your overall work environment is relatively low pressure and unchanging and requires dependable, consistent, and steady work habits. The established procedures and processes must be followed very closely; there is little room or necessity to modify them. Interacting with customers requires a professional, formal manner where the focus is on completing the task pleasantly and correctly. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Drives truck to deliver such items as beer and non-alcoholic drinks to customer's place of business. Collects payment from customers, and records transactions on customer receipt. Records deliveries information on daily delivery records. Calls on prospective customers to solicit new business. Prepares order forms. Informs regular customers of new products or services. Listens to and resolves service complaints. Places stock on shelves or racks. Sets up merchandise and point of sale displays or issues point of sale materials to customers. Collects or picks up empty containers or rejected or unsold merchandise. Issues or obtains customer signature on receipt for pickup or delivery. Cleans inside of the truck. Performs routine pre and post-trip on the truck and assigned equipment. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. Qualifications• High school diploma or equivalent; • 21 years of age or older; • Must have ability to maintain clear driving record and Class “A” CDL; • Ability to maintain a valid medical certificate in accordance with MCSR regs. 49 CFR 391.41 - 391.49 • Highly professional, with excellent communication skills and attention to detail, and able to accurately attend to details and spot errors when reviewing load sheets and completing paperwork. Basic math skills, including adding and subtracting numbers; • Displays a high energy level and demonstrated ability to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced environment both individually and as part of a team; • Needs to be self-motivated, have a strong work ethic and practice ethical conduct; • Commitment to safety program and dedication to Vision/Mission; • Reports to work on a regular and timely basis, and ensures that work responsibilities are covered when absent; • Extended hours may be required as service needs dictate; • Ability to handle stress; • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to drive a truck to deliver product; • Must be able to reach with hands and arms, bend, stoop, walk and occasionally climb when unloading trucks for delivery; • Able to regularly lift or carry up to 50 lbs. and occasionally push/pull up to 340 lbs.; • Must be able to repeatedly lift, push, pull or carry product; • Able to maneuver a dolly effectively.
