Job Overview
Flexx Workforce is currently hiring an experienced Structural Fitter for upcoming industrial and marine projects. This role is focused on fitting structural steel components — not pipe. We are looking for dependable tradesmen with experience in shipyards, fabrication shops, or heavy industrial environments.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, structural drawings, and specifications
- Measure, layout, and fit structural steel components
- Assemble beams, plates, and structural assemblies to spec
- Tack weld components for final welding
- Use grinders, torches, hand tools, and measuring instruments
- Work alongside welders and other trades
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Follow all job site safety standards and procedures
Requirements
Requirements
- 2–5+ years of structural fitting experience (NOT pipe fitting)
- Strong blueprint reading skills (structural drawings)
- Experience in shipyard, fabrication shop, or industrial setting preferred
- Ability to pass:
- Drug screening
- Background check (if required)
- Physical / fit-for-duty screening
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Reliable transportation
Physical Requirements
- Lift 50+ lbs regularly
- Ability to stand, kneel, climb, and work in confined spaces
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying conditions
