Job Overview
Providence is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our in-house therapy team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of anatomy and physiology, with experience in geriatrics. New Grad Friendly! This role involves developing and implementing individualized care plans for patients, focusing on enhancing their ability to perform daily activities. The Occupational Therapist will work in the SNF setting, providing support for individuals with various needs.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patients' physical and mental health to determine their needs and develop appropriate care plans.
  • Implement therapeutic interventions aimed at improving patients' functional abilities.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Educate patients and their families on treatment plans and strategies for daily living.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes.

Requirements

  • A degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Valid state licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and occupational therapy principles.
  • Familiarity with developing care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Ability to assist patients effectively while demonstrating empathy and patience.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
