Description
We are a full-service independent insurance agency seeking a friendly, organized, and customer-focused Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for our clients, carriers, and business partners. This role is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, supporting agency operations, and assisting our Account Managers and Producers with administrative and policy-related tasks.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, professional, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced office environment.
Responsibilities:
- Greet clients and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner.
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls and assist customers with basic service requests.
- Maintain and update client information within the agency management system.
- Verify policy and account information for accuracy.
- Assist with policy processing, endorsements, and general account maintenance.
- Process incoming and outgoing mail, scanning, filing, and electronic document management.
- Maintain accurate activity logs, suspense items, and agency records.
- Provide administrative support to Producers and Account Managers.
- Assist with billing inquiries and correspondence with the accounting department.
- Prepare spreadsheets, reports, and other administrative documents as needed.
- Ensure the reception area and office environment remain organized and professional.
- Perform other administrative and customer service duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Previous receptionist, administrative assistant, customer service, or insurance agency experience preferred.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Experience with agency management systems is a plus.
- Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- The selected candidate will be required to obtain a Georgia Property & Casualty Insurance License within the first 90 days of employment. Agency support and resources will be provided to assist with the licensing process.
