Job Summary
The Plant Scheduling Assistant supports production planning and scheduling activities to ensure efficient processing, packaging, and shipment of products. This role works closely with Production, Procurement, Inventory, Sales, Quality Assurance, and Shipping teams to maintain production schedules, optimize plant capacity, and meet customer delivery requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in creating and maintaining daily and weekly production schedules.
- Coordinate production plans based on customer orders, inventory levels, and raw material availability.
- Monitor production progress and update schedules to address equipment downtime, labor shortages, or changes in demand.
- Communicate schedule changes to production supervisors and other departments.
- Maintain accurate production planning and scheduling records in SAP systems.
- Track production performance and identify scheduling issues or bottlenecks.
- Coordinate with Procurement to ensure raw materials and packaging are available on time.
- Work with Warehouse and Shipping teams to meet customer delivery schedules.
- Prepare daily production reports, KPI dashboards, and scheduling metrics.
- Support inventory management by minimizing excess inventory and reducing product shortages.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve production efficiency.

Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, manufacturing, or food processing preferred.
- Experience in a meat or beef processing plant is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas).
- Experience with SAP systems is preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
