We are seeking a driven, experienced Service Manager to lead our growing commercial and industrial boiler service department in Thomasville, GA. This is a hands-on leadership role — you will be in the field alongside your team, setting the standard for technical excellence, customer satisfaction, and professional conduct. You will own the full service operation: building and developing your team, managing day-to-day scheduling and dispatch, resolving customer issues, and executing a structured growth program that scales revenue and service capacity year over year.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, manage, and hold accountable service personnel through coaching, counseling, and discipline as needed
  • Serve as a mentor and conduct Quarterly Conversations to support employee development and growth
  • Oversee and coordinate the performance of all service department staff to ensure profitability and efficiency goals are met
  • Support coordinators in building efficient schedules, resolving dispatch conflicts, and ensuring service personnel are properly equipped for each job
  • Partner with HR on candidate screening, technical interviews, and hiring recommendations; support onboarding and manage performance up to and including termination
  • Communicate clearly with customers regarding service issues and recommendations; resolve complaints and discrepancies promptly to ensure satisfaction
  • Deliver high-quality service aligned with company core values on every call
  • Conduct ride-alongs, field inspections, and quality checks to ensure work meets code, safety, and company standards
  • Continuously improve technical and leadership skills; support ongoing training and development of department personnel through Thermal Tech's Growth Program
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • 10+ years of prior boiler experience strongly preferred (5+ required)
  • 5+ years of prior management/supervisory experience strongly preferred (2+ required)
  • Able to maintain an insurable driving record
  • Able to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends as needed
