Summary:Â At the direction of the Director of AE & ISSupervise and coordinates activities of engineering department to design, manufacture, and test components, products, and systems by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.Â
Â
- Directs daily and short term department activities to design/test new products, modify existing designs, improve production techniques, improve department efficiency and performance
- Develops and maintains product Drawings, BOMs and Routes within ERP systemÂ
- Resolves problems using solutions that involve new techniques, technologies, or concepts.
- Takes a lead role with Nordfab Development Projects. Works with Company members to develop new product ideas that will include duct collection products along with Sales Tools like CAD, Revit, Inventor
- Confers with team members to determine engineering feasibility, cost effectiveness, and customer demand for new and existing products.
- Understanding of computer logic to work with configurators and other Sales tools
- Provides direction and example for interpretation and application of company policies and procedures to the engineering activities.
- Assists Sales staff with technical questions from customers.
- Maintains a working knowledge of new technologies within the Dust Collection Industry which may improve operations, and develops recommendations accordingly.
- Maintains a working knowledge of safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner.
- Develops, plans, and implements training for customers and employees.
- Works to become an Industry Expert to represent Nordfab to end users, dealers and other Industry leaders
- Ensures work assignments and activities are well suited to meet the objectives of the department and organization.
