Summary: Â Verifies and prepares for outgoing shipments by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Â
•   Compares identifying information and counts, weights, or measures items of outgoing shipments to verify information against packing list, invoices, orders, or other records.
•   Maintain, update, and process orders for shipment by assigning orders, printing pick list, and placing UPS/Fed EX labels on each box per order.
•   Affixes shipping labels on packed boxes for appropriate parcel service required for use.
•   Posts weights and shipping charges, and affixes postage as necessary in database.
•   Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications/guidelines for parcel shipments.
•   Ability to use two different programs simultaneously.Â

Qualifications:
•   Language Ability:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Â Ability to write simple correspondence. Â Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
•   Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
•   Reasoning Ability:Â
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
•   Computer Skills:Â
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Order processing systems and can type at descent rate of speed.
Education/Experience:
•   High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Â
