Bar Back-Tavern

The Tavern at Quinn's Hot Springs Resort has an opening for a BAR BACK.  Serving the same delicious food that is offered in the Harwood House, the Tavern is a little more relaxed and very family friendly.  Same great food, catch a game, grab a deliciously crafted cocktail, or enjoy a game of pool! 

Our Mission at Quinn's Hot Springs Resort is HAPPINESS.  Our BAR BACKS work with the Bartenders and Servers and contribute to our Mission by providing consistent and timely support and service, enhancing our guest experience. This is a great entry-level position. 

We are currently seeking a FT BAR BACK. Candidates must be flexible. The shifts for this role:

• • Sunday: 2:30pm - 9:30pm
  • Monday: 4:00pm - 9:30pm
  • Tuesday: 8:00am - 3:30pm
  • Wednesday/Thursday off
  • Friday: 2:30pm - 9:30pm
  • Saturday: 2:30pm - 9:30pm 
    

There is also a possibility of more hours/shifts due to coverage for vacations on nights and weekends.  

Weekend/holiday availability is a must. This is a tipped position and pays $14.00 per hour plus tips to start.

Tasks/Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

• Providing timely and consistent support and service for the Bartenders and Bar Servers.
• Stocking/restocking coolers, liquors, and wines.
• Washing, drying, polishing, and putting away bar glasses.
• Assisting Bar Servers with cleaning off tables and preparing them for the next guests.  
• Refilling garnish stations, including cutting and preparing various fruits and vegetables.
• Polishing and wrapping silverware.
• Keeping bar area clean and organized.
• Communicating with bartenders and cocktail servers to ensure tables are being cleared in a timely manner and all guest needs are being met. 
• Always following all food safety and cleanliness rules and regulations.  
• Candidates must take required certifications within established timeframe (Alcohol Training and Food Service Training).

Experience:

•  Previous experience in a bar or restaurant preferred but not required. 

Physical Requirements:

• Capable of being physically active for long periods of time.
• Ability to be on your feet for long periods of time. 
• Able to lift up to 35 lbs unassisted.
• Ability to balance trays containing food and beverages.
• Ability to regularly bend, stoop, lean, and twist your body. 
• Ability to go up and down stairs on a regular basis.
