We're looking for a EDDA professional who will work closely with our Dentist.

Schedule (days/hours)

Monday-Friday, 1 Saturday a Month
Responsibilities

  • Assist the dentist during restorative, prosthodontic, endodontic, oral surgery, and other dental procedures.
  • Provide four-handed chairside assistance and anticipate the dentist’s needs during treatment.
  • Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, materials, and equipment before and after procedures.
  • Take and process dental radiographs, including FMX and other required diagnostic images.
  • Take dental impressions and assist with study models.
  • Assist with composite and multi-surface restorations, crown and bridge procedures, dentures, root canals, extractions, and other restorative procedures.
  • Place and remove rubber dams, matrices, and other dental isolation materials as permitted.
  • Assist with temporary restorations and temporary crowns or bridges as permitted under applicable Colorado regulations and office protocols.
  • Remove excess cement from restorations and appliances as directed.
  • Perform coronal polishing and apply sealants when appropriately trained and authorized.
  • Assist with denture procedures, including impressions, adjustments, and related laboratory procedures.
  • Prepare and maintain instruments and materials used during dental procedures.
  • Maintain accurate clinical charting and treatment documentation.
  • Obtain and record patient medical and dental histories and vital signs as needed.
  • Provide patients with appropriate post-operative and oral hygiene instructions as directed by the dentist.
  • Monitor and maintain patient comfort and safety throughout treatment.
  • Follow all OSHA, HIPAA, infection-control, sterilization, and safety procedures.
  • Properly sterilize and disinfect instruments and treatment areas.
  • Dispose of sharps and clinical waste safely and according to established protocols.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked operatories.
  • Monitor dental supplies and communicate inventory needs to the appropriate team member.
  • Assist with maintaining efficient patient flow and keeping the schedule on track.
  • Provide professional, compassionate, and courteous patient care.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information and comply with HIPAA requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with dentists, hygienists, front-office staff, and other members of the dental team.
  • Perform additional clinical and office duties as assigned.

Qualifications

      Must have certs to be hired:

  • CPR or BLS
  • EDDA license preferred or must have 10 years exp without it

Compensation

$22-30/hr
