Overview

 

Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers, Colorado's largest and most comprehensive provider of cancer care has an exciting opportunity for a part-time (20 hours/week) APP to do hospital rounding.

 Salary Range: $55.00-$67.00 an hour

Responsibilities

This position will require rounding at North Suburban and St. Anthony North.

 

The job role will include performing pertinent patient examinations and clinical evaluations, managing clinical care,

ordering and reviewing diagnostic studies, ordering and monitoring medications, and participating in the short-term

and long-term planning of patient care along with the physician team.  

 


Qualifications

Nurse Practitioner  Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited nursing school and successful completion of a Nurse Practitioner program.  

 

This position typically requires a minimum of one year of experience as a practicing Nurse Practitioner and 3-5 years in either in-patient or ambulatory oncology setting.

RN state licensure and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state.  Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner. 

AOCNP preferred.

Current basic life support (BLS)/CPR certification required.

 

OR

 

Physician Assistant  Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program.  Current NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants) certification.

This position requires at least one year of experience in either a critical care environment, internal medicine, or oncology.  Current state license as a Physician Assistant in practicing state. 

Current basic life support (BLS)/CPR certification required.

Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time.  Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 40 lbs.  Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
