The ideal candidate will have experience in structural design, standards, material specification, and fabrication, specifically in steel frame structures. The candidate will also have experience using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software.Â
Job Responsibilities
- Develop design of steel structures with assistance from Senior Engineer.
- Review code requirements and establish analyses criteria.Â
- Develop structural arrangement models and drawings.
- Prepare design analyses demonstrating the suitability of structures for supporting applied loads.
- Prepare details for connections.
- Review and check engineering drawings for use in fabrication and installation.
- Communicate with others on the project team and with the customer’s technical personnel.
- Must be a US citizen and able to qualify for a DoD Secret clearance.
- Must possess a Bachelor of Science in Civil/Structural Engineering degree and a minimum of 3 years of professional experience.
- Work in the NDI Thorofare office is required.
- Have strong verbal and written communications skills.
- AutoCAD or equivalent experience required; STAAD structural analysis and design software experience preferred.
