JOB PURPOSE:

Perform duties to draft products and layouts that meet customers’ expectations and create detailed specifications that provide production with information to ensure product designs and orders are executed as agreed upon and in a timely manner. Create casework submittal drawings for customers to review and sign off on for the release of production.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with customers on various project designs and layouts.
  • Complete the configuration of standard, special, and custom cabinetry products using Auto Cad.
  • Implement drafting standards to complete Auto Cad drawings.
  • Create, revise, and maintain Auto Cad drawings in a timely manner.
  • Analyze, plan, and complete projects in accordance with detailed specifications.
  • Ensure designs incorporate all applicable codes and regulations.
  • Ensure project information is communicated to all necessary departments accurately and timely.
  • Develop and complete casework and mixed furniture design projects with little guidance.
  • Perform independently to effectively manage projects with minimal oversight.
  • Provide guidance to team members on technical issues related to installation or construction.
  • Create casework submittal drawings.
  • Work with the Sourcing Specialist to secure new hardware items for custom products.
  • Local and overnight travel, less than 10%.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Experience and/or Training:

  • 1year of related work experience.
  • 1 year of experience reading and understanding architectural specifications and plans.
  • 1 year of experience with Project Management.

Technology/Equipment:

  • Familiarity with Auto Cad.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Associate’s degree in Drafting related field.

Experience and/or Training: 2 years of related work experience.

Technology/Equipment: Familiarity with Revit, and other technologies used in the Engineering field.


PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS:

Sitting for long periods of time, 6-8 hours per day. Walking, speaking, hearing, and seeing. Listen and observe the environment for hazard prevention. Use hands for tools and typing. Semi-frequently lift up to 15 lbs. Some tasks may require the employee to bend, stoop, twist, and turn.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

Indoor office working environment. Office is temperature-controlled all year round. Minimal hazards identified.
