Job Description
The Manufacturing Support Team at Thousand Oaks is responsible for managing allāÆdeviation eventsāÆandāÆmanufacturing-related change controls. These activities are essential to ensuring compliant manufacturing operations and documenting any discrepancies that may occur.Ā
Our work requires strongāÆproject management skills, as we handle multiple tasks concurrently, each with varying timelines and due dates. The team collaborates extensively across all site departments and interfaces with other sites throughout theāÆTakeda network.Ā
By overseeing deviations and change controls, we play a critical role in maintaining product quality, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement across manufacturing processes.Ā

How You Will Contribute:Ā
As a Manufacturing Support Intern, you will have the opportunity toĀ
Assist Compliance Investigators with manufacturing investigationsĀ Ā
Serve as a support administrator to assist manufacturing investigations and/or audits including various documentation management activities (Scan, print, trend review, document review)Ā
Schedule meetings and coordinate actions to assist manufacturing investigations and audit preparation to ensure timely progress and completionĀ Ā
Serve as a meeting Scribe to collect notes and actions during manufacturing investigation meetingsĀ
Maintain data integrity and ensure compliance with company SOPs and specifications, FDA, GLP, QSR, and cGMP regulationsĀ

Internship Development Opportunities:Ā
Learn the formal deviation investigation process, including root cause analysisĀ
Become Yellow belt certifiedĀ
Learn and understand the basis for injectable pharmaceutical manufacturing including Drug Substance manufacturing, Drug Product manufacturing, and Final Drug Product manufacturingĀ
Job Requirements:Ā

Must be pursuing aBachelorsDegree, preferably in Life SciencesĀ
Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently and complete tasks in a timely manner.Ā
Effective organizational skills and ability to plan and suggest resolutions to technical problemsĀ
Must be detail-oriented, conscientious, and responsibleĀ
Must have effective verbal and written communication skillsĀ
Must be able to learn new computer systems and programs in a timely mannerĀ
Must be able to perform gowning operations, including donning over garment and head coverĀ
May need to work in controlled or clean room environments requiring special gowning.Ā Will be required to follow gowning requirements and wear protective clothing over the head, face, hands, feet, and body.Ā No make-up, jewelry, contact lenses, nail polish or artificial fingernails may be worn in this workĀ
Internship EligibilityāÆĀ
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorshipāÆĀ
Must be currently enrolled in a degree program graduating December 2026 or laterāÆĀ
The internship program is 10-12 weeks depending on the two start dates (May 26th-August 14th or June 15th- August 21st) āÆĀ
The intern must be able to commit to one of these time framesāÆāÆĀ
Able to work full time 40 hours a week during internship datesāÆāÆĀ
