Latigo is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and diligent candidate with exceptional attention to detail to oversee laboratory resources and provide cell culture support for early-stage programs.  The candidate will maintain an efficient biology-focused laboratory, with duties including consumable and reagent management, solution preparation, and cell line husbandry.

 

Primary responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Coordinate procurement, stocking, and tracking of laboratory supplies to ensure uninterrupted support of research activities.
  • Manage and supervise the cell culture suite, including inventory, scheduling, training support, and adherence to established procedures.
  • Maintaining multiple cell lines for use in manual patch clamp and automated patch clamp experiments.
  • Accurate preparation of solutions for use in electrophysiology experiments.
  • Collaborate effectively with scientists, external vendors, and cross-functional teams to support research and program objectives.

 

Basic qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in biology, biochemistry, neuroscience, pharmacology, or a related scientific discipline.



Preferred experience and skills:

  • Experience managing laboratory inventory, ordering, procurement, and vendor relationships.
  • Working knowledge of mammalian cell culture techniques and laboratory best practices.
  • Experience maintaining scientific data storage systems, electronic records, or laboratory information management systems (LIMS).
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated learning agility and intellectual curiosity.
  • Team-oriented with demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional colleagues in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
