Summary
Reporting to the Area Manager, this positionis responsible for monitoring and operating equipment to ensure a safe work environment for the customer, contractors, and all on location. The employee in the operator position has moved beyond trainee and demonstrates an increased ability to work independently and use good judgment and discretion with less supervision than a trainee.Â

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Â
Performs job activities in a manner consistent with Kodiak’sprocedures/protocols, goals and objectivesÂ
Successful and satisfactory completion of operator qualification tests Â
Read and interpret blueprints and diagrams and secure machineryÂ
Cleans and checks units, tools and equipment and performs routine maintenanceÂ
Review and maintain historical dataÂ
Check plants differential pressures, temperatures, filters, chemicals, and engines to ensure they are running properlyÂ
Optimize plant output by setting up, operating, and troubleshooting a variety of machines and equipment in accordance with established procedures and guidelinesÂ
Adjust machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications Â
Record and transmit data of job logs on a daily basis from the field to the office of operating conditions of plants and equipmentÂ
Communicate with theoffice in order to control inventory restocking and parts usageÂ
Operates with minimal supervisionÂ
Perform other duties and responsibilities as requiredÂ

 Qualifications:Â
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, blueprints, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals Â
Ability to write routine reports and correspondenceÂ
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers, contractors, and employees Â
Ability to work independently, while actively seeking out ways to assist the teamÂ
Excellent judgment and discretion; ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously, meet deadlines, and handle work-related stress is required Â
Friendly, respectful, and customer service-orientedÂ
Proficient MS Office skills; Outlook, Excel, WordÂ
Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to work productively in a team environmentÂ
Ability to work a flexible schedule to include holidays and weekendsÂ
Â
Education and/or Experience:Â
2+ years of amine operations and/or maintenance or related industry experience requiredÂ
5+ years of amine operations and/ormaintenance or related industry experience preferredÂ
Must pass an operator qualification test Â
High school diploma or GED requiredÂ
Formal vocational training is preferredÂ
Â
Physical Demands:Â
Requires operation of heavy equipmentÂ
Requires employee to stand for up to 75% of the timeÂ
Requires moving and maintaining self in different positions—stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spacesÂ
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 poundsÂ
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focusÂ
Requires work in outdoor conditions, including extreme heat and extreme coldÂ
Up to 10% of travelÂ
