Overview

The Field Inventory Specialist will manage daily planning, inventory control, and communication with inspectors, construction foremen, contractors, and fabricators to meet operational and supply chain demands. This role requires an individual experienced in operating forklifts and telehandlers of various sizes, ensuring the efficient and safe movement of materials. 

Responsibilities

  • Operate forklifts and telehandlers and maintain forklift certification.
  • Communicate and coordinate pad loadouts, tracking all outgoing materials.
  • Oversee inventory control procedures and assist with physical inventory counts.
  • Organize and maintain warehouse(s) and yard(s) for efficient material storage and handling.
  • Receive and inspect inbound freight, expedited shipments, and MRO/commodity deliveries, ensuring accurate documentation and proper distribution.
  • Perform housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Work closely with inspectors, foremen, contractors, and fabricators to fulfill equipment and material requests.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety policies.
  • Handle, count, and track materials manually and via SAP (preferred but not required).
  • Load and unload materials, inspect for quality, and properly label inventory.
  • Lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods in an outdoor work environment.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in the oil and gas industry.
  • Proven ability to operate forklifts and heavy machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Ability to work in both office and field environments.
  • Experience with SAP is a plus.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Ability to meet all conditional job offer requirements including background check, drug/hair follicle test, MVR, agility, etc
