Description
Â
Walther Farms is seeking an IT Systems & Data Engineer to support a wide range of technology initiatives across our multi-location operation. This role blends infrastructure management, data engineering, and hands-on problem solving in a fast-paced agricultural business.Â
This position is ideal for someone who thrives on variety—one day you may be building data pipelines in Microsoft Fabric, and the next you’re troubleshooting a network issue or writing a script to automate a manual process. You’ll work both independently and as part of our existing team, coordinating with our third-party IT support provider to keep systems running and continuously improving.Â
We’re looking for a quick learner who writes clean code, understands modern data and cloud platforms, and is just as comfortable talking through a problem with a team member as they are digging into a technical challenge on their own.Â
Strong communication, adaptability, and a genuine curiosity for technology are essential for success in this role.Â
Â
Who You AreÂ
- A strong communicator who can effectively work with internal teams and external partnersÂ
- Approachable and personable, someone who people are comfortable reaching out to for help and supportÂ
- Able to learn new systems, environments, and teams quicklyÂ
- Comfortable working across a wide range of technologies and switching between tasks throughout the dayÂ
- Equally at home writing code, analyzing data, and supporting infrastructureÂ
- Confident taking ownership of projects and systems, while collaborating with external support resourcesÂ
- Organized and responsive in managing and following up on support and project workÂ
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shiftÂ
- Takes initiative and consistently works to move issues and projects forwardÂ
- Interested in continuous improvement and bringing new ideas forward, not just maintaining the status quoÂ
- Curious about emerging technologies including AI and eager to apply them in practical waysÂ
