Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer with a strong foundation in statistical analysis, quality systems development, and structured problem-solving methodologies. This role partners with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and customers to ensure robust product quality, drive data-based decision-making, and sustain continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is analytically rigorous, experienced in Quality Management Systems (QMS), and capable of leading cross-functional problem-solving efforts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply advanced statistical methods to monitor, analyze, and improve process and product performance

• Conduct process capability studies, hypothesis testing, and data modeling to drive decision-making

• Design and analyze Design of Experiments (DOE) and sampling plans (attribute, variable, sequential)

• Perform Gage R&R, correlation studies, and measurement system analysis

• Lead structured problem-solving initiatives using 8D, A3, or equivalent methodologies

• Develop and maintain FMEAs, Control Plans, and support APQP activities in alignment with AIAG/VDA standards

• Build, improve, and sustain Quality Management Systems aligned with:

o ISO 9001

o IATF 16949

o ISO/IEC 17025

o ISO 14001

o ISO 45001

• Conduct and support internal audits, layered process audits (LPA), and compliance activities

• Analyze and report quality KPIs/KPCs to leadership, identifying trends and improvement opportunities

• Collaborate with production and lab teams to implement process controls and improvements

• Interface directly with customers and suppliers to resolve quality issues and drive corrective/preventive actions

• Lead supplier quality improvement initiatives and ensure effective issue resolution

• Support a culture of continuous improvement through data-driven insights and training


Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or related field)

• Minimum 1–3 years of Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment

• Demonstrated expertise in statistical analysis and data interpretation

• Hands-on experience with process capability, DOE, and measurement systems analysis

• Working knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and relevant ISO/IATF standards

• Strong problem-solving skills with experience leading structured methodologies (e.g., 8D, A3)

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across all organizational levels


Preferred Qualifications

• ASQ Certification (CQE, CQA, or equivalent)

• Certification in structured problem-solving methodologies such as:

o Six Sigma Green Belt (or higher)

o Shainin Red X / Journeyman or equivalent

• Experience developing or significantly improving QMS frameworks

• Proven success working with suppliers and customers in quality issue resolution

• Experience in automotive or regulated manufacturing environments


Additional Information

• Full-time position (8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.)

• Approximately 10% of domestic travel required


8:00am - 5:00pm, some over-time or off-shift support needed as required.
