At PJ Trailers in Sumner, TX the Weld Technician is responsible for: Weld Audits Audit structural and A surface welds 2x per day, every weld line. Correct and coach as needed, welders and leads. Document any non-conforming welds into a daily audit report to be submitted to the Quality, Production and Plant managers. Communicate with QC inspectors to solve any weld issues coming through finish. Welding Equipment Verify welder settings per standard. Check gas mixes are to standard. Troubleshoot welding equipment issues. Knowledge of welder power supply. Check consumables are installed correctly Verify there are no bare grounds or damaged leads and guns   Other Review and verify prints/weld maps Weld integrity testing  Audit Weld PPE Audit Proper Body and Hand Placement   Qualifications AWS Certified preferred Minimum 5 years welding experience 2-3 years of Supervisor and training experience
