Scope / Overview
Responsible for the safe and efficient operation, monitoring, and maintenance of wells, processing units, and related facilities. This role requires strong experience with oil, gas, and water separation facilities, major utilities, and upstream production operations. The position supports a large-scale project involving facility startup activities, operating tools, work permitting, and training. Candidates with new facility startup and commissioning experience are highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary operations contact for assigned facilities
  • Monitor and optimize production processes through field inspections and electronic monitoring systems
  • Issue Safe Work Permits and perform gas testing activities
  • Conduct routine surveillance activities, including tank gauging, meter readings, product sampling, and chemical injection monitoring
  • Monitor and adjust process parameters including temperature, pressure, level, and flow rates
  • Perform basic equipment maintenance and visual inspections
  • Coordinate oil sales and saltwater hauling activities
  • Maintain accurate electronic and paper production records
  • Inspect and maintain safety equipment, including fire suppression systems and breathing apparatus
  • Support environmental compliance initiatives and minimize operational impacts
  • Communicate process changes and operating conditions with Production Foremen and team members
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain high safety standards
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma required; trade school certificate or college degree preferred
  • Previous experience in a closely related upstream production role
  • Experience operating and maintaining oil and gas surface equipment
  • Strong understanding of oil, gas, and water separation processes
  • Computer proficiency with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work rotational schedules and respond to callouts as needed
  • Ability to lift more than 50 pounds and climb ladders and stairways
  • Ability to wear and use SCBA and other required safety equipment
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multicultural team environment
