The Laundry Attendant is primarily responsible for sorting and laundering linen and terry in accordance with resort procedures while following company standards and safety/security procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, luxury service-oriented manner.
  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with The Lake Estate on Winnisquam standards as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the resort.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include the proper uniform and name tag when working.
  • Always comply with the company's standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient resort operations.
  • Sort Linen (Terry, sheets, pillowcases, bath ropes)
  • Weigh linen and load washers
  • Load dryers
  • Know the operating functions of the machines and the correct programs to use.
  • Fold linen according to standards and load folded linen unto designated shelving
  • Be able to maintain productivity standards daily.
  • Perform other tasks assigned by supervisor or manager.
  • Access to back of house areas of the resort and potentially sensitive information.
  • Maintain a high level of trust and responsibility.
  • Represent the company with a certain level of reputation and good character as well as exercise sound judgement.

Education and Skills:

  • High Scholl diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a luxury hotel/resort or a related field preferred
  • This position requires strong attention to detail, and an ability to communicate effectively with team members
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule. 
  • Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly
  • Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.
