Principal Accountabilities

Primary responsibility is to carry out aspects of yard management which will include: jockeying trailers, fueling and cleaning trailers, cleaning dock areas, and unloading/receiving trailers
Secondary responsibility is to assist covering for other yard drivers who are out, due to illness, vacation, etc
Will perform plant rounds and assist with trailer checks
Must visually check trucks and trailers for safety
Any other tasks/projects as assigned by management
Availability for weekends on call in the event of the need to unload trailer(s)
Cover breaks for security guards as needed

Required Qualifications

Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
Must be 18 years or older
Must be able to learn to drive a tractor-trailer. CDL not required, only drive on company premises.
Ability to work flexible hours and/or shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays
Accuracy, precision, and dependability are a necessity
Must be able to be trained as a certified jack driver
Must have good people skills and effective communication skills
Must be able to read, write, and speak English
Ability to work independently

Preferred Qualifications

Previous production/farm experience
Previous Cargill experience
Work history in the past 12 months
Previous truck driver or yard driver experience
Computer knowledge and experience
