We have an exciting opportunity for a Seed Quality Testing Lab Specialist to join our company at our Tipton IN Seed Quality facility. Â In this role you will support germination and viability testing for the Tipton Seed Quality Lab. Responsibilities include crop evaluation, planting samples, performing physical purities and other quality testing tasks.

This role will be 100% on site at the location.

What You’ll Do:
- Germination evaluation of all crops, as needed, in accordance with Vylor standards.
- Plant all crop samples using hand and automated methods.
- Perform physical purities on samples as well as dividing physical purities into representative working samples.
- Perform specific testing such as waxy corn analysis, soybean hila purity, OAM color sorting and other miscellaneous tasks as needed.
- Assist with receiving, sampling, labeling and batching of samples by management team.
- Maintain all Vylor safety standards at all times.
- Maintain confidentiality of critical lab information and data at all times.
- Conduct activities in accordance with AOSA, CFIA, ISTA and any other regulatory testing agencies.
- Ensure that test results are correct and completed in an efficient manner.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education:
- You have your High School Diploma/GED.

- You are able to research; problem solve and make recommendations for solutions to issues.
- You work independently, professionally, and collaboratively with internal and external partners.
- You have good organization, prioritization, and time-management skills in order to multi-task.
- You have excellent interpersonal skills and are able to work both independently and in a team environment.
- You have a strong ethical mindset and always maintain confidentiality and discretion.
- You have experience and proven proficiency in computer systems and programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. and tend to pick up quickly on new software.
- You are willing and able to work a daytime schedule with overtime hours including weekend work as needed during seasonal peaks.
What Makes You Stand Out:
- Bachelor Degree
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles such as 5S, Continuous Improvement, and Standardized Work
- Sample Manager and SAP/ERP system experience
- Automation operation experience
- Agricultural experience
- Detail oriented skillset
