About the Role:
Modern Machinery of Beaverton is looking for a skilled CNC Operator / Machinist to join their team in Beaverton, MI! This is a great opportunity to put your machining expertise to work in a dynamic manufacturing environment where precision and craftsmanship are valued every day.


We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator/Machinist to join our team in the production of parts and
components used in the assembly of thermoforming machinery. This position is responsible for
operating CNC equipment efficiently and safely while maintaining high standards of accuracy and
quality.
Key Responsibilities

Operate Haas CNC mills, lathes, and other shop equipment to machine parts to specification.

Produce accurate, consistent, and high-quality parts in accordance with production drawings
and technical documents.

Follow all safety procedures and report hazards or equipment concerns to the Shop Supervisor.

Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and cut lists to determine machining
requirements.

Use measuring tools (e.g., tape measures, calipers, angle finders) to ensure part accuracy.

Maintain a clean and organized work area, following shop standards.

Collaborate with team members to ensure workflow efficiency and meet production deadlines.
Assist in other departments or duties as needed to support overall operations.
Qualifications & Skills

3+ years of experience operating CNC machines, preferably Haas equipment.

Strong knowledge of CNC programming, setup, and operation.

Familiarity with manual machining tools and basic welding skills a plus.

Ability to read and understand technical drawings and schematics.

Solid math skills, including fractions, angles, and conversions.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in physically demanding environments (e.g., kneeling, overhead
work, ladder use).
Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification preferred.
Valid driver's license required.
Working Conditions

Standing for extended periods; occasional bending, lifting, and climbing.

Shop environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and standard safety risks.
