Position Overview

The Field Services Technician performs routine and non-routine testing and observation of construction materials and practices. 聽Work may include the testing of soil, concrete, and other construction materials. 聽Work may also include the field observation of soil placement and compaction, concrete structural dimensions and rebar placement, and other construction practices. 聽The Field Services Technician receives supervision and technical support from the Field Supervisor and the Assistant Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

路聽聽Ability to track and organize assigned work (Level I, II, III),

路聽聽Ability to perform routine sampling, testing, and observation (Level I, II, III),

路聽聽Be familiar with good field services practices and definition of Quality (Level I, II, III)

路聽聽Apply formulas for the interpretation and calculation of test results (Level II, III),

路聽聽Be proficient at basic computer skills and preparation of field service reports (Level II, III),

路聽聽Implement relevant quality control requirements including equipment calibration (Level II, III),

路聽聽Interpret project specifications, drawings, and work instructions (Level II, III),

路聽聽Handle of customer relations (Level III),

路聽聽Other duties as directed by the Field Supervisor and Assistant Manager (Level I, II, III).

Education and Experience

路聽聽High School diploma or GED required

路聽聽ACI, NETTCP, NICET or ODOT certified preferred

Skills and Abilities

路聽聽Excellent communication skills

路聽聽Clean driving record

路聽聽Strong oral and verbal communication skills

路聽聽Good math and language skills

Physical Ability

路聽聽Ability to monitor sounds for changes in machine function

Work Conditions
