About this opportunity:
Cenovus Toledo Refinery is now hiring for a Manager, Fixed Equipment Maintenance Execution role that will manage all aspects of fixed equipment maintenance execution (both salaried and hourly workforce), Transportation, Facilities and Infrastructure departments. This includes direction-setting, personnel development, oversight of work quality, establishment of standards, development and implementation of improvements, and measurement of results for each of the departments. In conjunction with the other Maintenance Managers, this role provides leadership of routine maintenance activities at the Toledo Refinery. This job description is intended to provide an overview of the position and does not include all the tasks that might be required to provide support for your area job requirements.

What you’ll do:
Assures and optimizes Maintenance execution practices and procedures in fixed equipment, transportation, facilities and infrastructure areas to achieve cost-effective results, including efficient scheduling of resources, proper training and performance of Craft personnel, and high-quality execution of work with a focus on Safety and Availability
Proactively supports the Reliability strategy and work practices in support of the business goals. Supports the concepts that no failure is unavoidable, that fit-for-purpose analyses are conducted for all failures and that opportunities are taken to improve equipment and processes as part of the normal routine
Assures and optimizes Maintenance execution practices and procedures to achieve cost-effective results, including efficient scheduling of resources, proper training and performance of Craft personnel, and high-quality execution of work with a focus on Safety and Availability​
Serves as a member of the Maintenance Leadership Team driving; continuous improvement in the Maintenance, Reliability & Engineering Department processes and contributing to the development and implementation of site-wide initiatives
Sets standards for maintenance capabilities for fixed equipment and transportation and for how those capabilities are applied within the organization i.e. staffing, competence, tools, processes, and documentation requirements
​Champions the development and maintenance of equipment records and repair histories, including baseline data
Who you are:
Legally authorized to work in the US
High school diploma or GED equivalent required. An Associate's degree, Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or other engineering discipline, or a Journeyman's License in a closely related trade considered an asset
12+ years experience in relevant maintenance execution activities required
Background in maintenance and/or capital project execution, contractor relations, and exposure to plant/refinery operations
