Position Summary
Responsible for training Security Officers to ensure that they are adequately prepared for solo duty. Provides ongoing training as needed or as directed.  Â

Essential Functions
- Performs all the duties and functions of a Security Officer
- Provides mentoring and guidance to new hires.
- Provides detailed instruction and ensures understanding of departmental policies and procedures.Â
- Provides detailed instruction and ensures understanding of all Security Department related functions. Â
- Maintains effective communication with both the trainee and members of the Leadership Team.
- Maintains documentation in accordance with departmental standards on the progress of the trainee.Â
- Emphasizes and instills Company Core Values with each trainee.
- Monitors Chinook Winds facility, property, and money handling areas to ensure the security of customers, staff, and assets of Chinook Winds on assigned shift.
- Provides enforcement to Chinook Winds policies, NIGC, Tribal policies, State Compact, and Tribal Gaming Regulations.
- Stays current on all other department P&P’s including any changes or amendments.
- Is a strong supporter of CWCR’s Customer Service standards and Core Values.
- Identifies and reports issues regarding security of the operations of any and all Departments within Chinook Winds to the Security Management and other members of the Management team.
- Thorough understanding of Report structure and ability to articulate events in a report to assist Officers who need training or improvement.
- Recommends measures for improving work procedures and worker performance to increase service quality and enhance job safety.
- Develops and maintains a teamwork environment.
- Works with members of the Leadership Team in identifying training opportunities.
- Performs all duties in accordance with Chinook Winds Casino Resort customer service standards.
- Maintains general knowledge and provides information to guests of Chinook Winds Casino Resort events, programs, and services.
- Identifies & reports any irregular, unsafe or hazardous conditions.
- All other duties as assigned.

Education
High School diploma or GED.
Â
Experience
One year Security experience.
Extensive knowledge of CWCR Security Department Policies and Procedures.
Extensive knowledge of CWCR programs, activities, and events.
Â
Computer Skills
Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.Â
Â
Certificates & Licenses
Valid Oregon Driver’s License.
 Must maintain a Siletz Tribal Gaming License.
Â
Other Requirements
CPR Certified.
Knowledge of job specific information.

Work Environment
Work will take place in a busy gaming environment with multiple distractions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. The environment is subject to smoke and the associated affects.Â

Working Conditions
Conditions of employment include passing a pre-employment drug screen, a background investigation, and completing a 180-day introductory period.  Â
