Mondays & Wednesdays 7:45 am - 5 pm


General Summary

Perform various clerical and clinical duties to support the operation of the office.


Works under the supervision of the Physician.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Consistently arrives at work on time and adheres to regular work schedule.
  • Answering phones - courteously and professionally.
  • Updating insurance information and ABNs
  • Answering general patient questions and updating medical charts as needed.
  • Taking and documenting messages in the medical record accurately and timely and relaying to appropriate personnel.
  • Escorting patients to exam rooms, assist Doctors, urine dips and bladder scans.


Other Essential Duties May Include but Are Not Limited To

  • Collecting co-pays, front desk, EBO report 
  • Scheduling appointments, lab tests, surgeries, etc.
  • Verifying referrals, pre-certifications, and/or patient info from referring physicians and/or ED. Prior Auth for medications
  • Completes patient ins paperwork/ BTW, return to school/work
  • Schedules interpreters.
  • General office duties (preps charts, scanning, faxing, refrigerator /medication log/ etc.)
  • Other duties as assigned.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

Required:

  • Consistently arrives at work in appropriate/professional attire.
  • Completes all tasks within established time frame.
  • Adheres to all clinic policies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication, phone, and organizational skills. 
  • Computer skills helpful. 
  • Seeks appropriate tasks when primary tasks are completed and assists co-workers as needed. 
  • Demonstrates adaptability to expanded roles.

 

Education:

  • HS diploma or GED.
  • RMA/CMA/CCMA credential preferred.

 

Preferred:

  • Previous clerical experience in a Drs. office.
