Plant Lead/Backup Driver

SUMMARY
The Plant Lead/Driver plays a key role in the success of our business. The Plant Lead will supervise a team of plant associates while performing assigned operations and tasks safely and efficiently in a production environment. This individual will interact with customers, employees, managers, sr managers, and regulatory representatives.  In every case, the Plant Lead must present themselves with the professionalism and discretion appropriate for each interactive situation. The individual must be able to safely and efficiently complete customer collection routes with varying schedules and deadlines.  members of sr. management, and regulatory representatives. The driver will ensure all waste is unloaded from vehicles, the vehicles are decontaminated, and waste is properly staged for scanning and processing. The individual will perform the duties in a safe and productive manner.Â

Pay Rate : Starting rate $23.00 per hour
PRIMARY JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
•   Unload waste from incoming vehicles and separate non-autoclavable waste to be incineratedÂ
•   Stage waste or properly stack waste for scanningÂ
•  Performing assigned duties during the collection and transport of medical waste Â
•   Scan waste into the NavuSoft system for proper recordkeeping purposesÂ
•   Load autoclave bins with waste for processingÂ
•  Loading and unloading product tubsÂ
•   Pushing/pulling wheeled containers and climbing in/out of cargo compartment Â
•   Employee must demonstrate the ability to maintain neat and orderly appearance and paperwork, and the ability to operate a smart phoneÂ
•   Place re-usable containers on the tub wash line for decontamination.Â
•   Route collection with a delivery truck
•   Operate tub wash unit ensuring the wash unit is operating properly; remove clean tubs from the wash unit, inspect tubs and stack for loading onto assigned vehicle for re-use
•   Operate tub wash sprayer for oversized reusable tubs ensuring the unit is operating properly; inspect tubs and stack for loading onto an assigned vehicle for re-useÂ
•   Decontaminate vehicles cargo-carrying portion, reloads assigned re-usable tubs and ensures a cargo-carrying portion of the vehicle does not have free liquid on the floor; inform the plant supervisor the vehicle is ready      to be moved from the dock areaÂ
•   Ensure housekeeping issues (e.g., spills cleaned up, the floor is dry, and debris not on the floor, etc.) are addressed immediately
•   Assist in other areas of the plant operation as directed
•   Pull order to load supplies unto trucks for next day serviceÂ
•   Licensed for vehicle to be driven (min. Class C); Class A or Class B license also acceptable
•   Must be able to obtain and maintain a Medical Examiner’s Card (MEC)
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
•   Must have a good driving record within 3 years; no accident reported
•   Must have excellent customer service skills with other employees, customers and regulators
•  Strong written and communication skills
•   Must understand how to use computer for data entry
•   Must be able to use software app on mobile phone for manifest documentation
•   Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
•   Quickly adapt to changing business demands
•   Quickly grasp and adapt to new tasks, software and protocols
•   Must meet all applicable DOT and licensing requirements
•   Licensed for vehicle to be driven (min. Class C); Class A or Class B license also acceptable
•   Must be able to obtain and maintain a Medical Examiner’s Card (MEC)
EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
•   Able to work an agreed upon standard scheduleÂ
•   Additional hours as job duties demand
TRAVEL - OTHER
•   Travel to domestic Trilogy facilities when necessary (less than 10%)
•   Must have a current, valid driver's license
•   Able to be insurable under our company's liability insurance policy
