We are currently hiring a full-time Resident Field Technician based out of our Tolono, IL location, serving Douglas, Edgar, Coles, Clark, Cumberland, Shelby counties, and surrounding areas. Perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on diesel equipment Travel daily to customer job sites within your assigned region Operate and maintain your service truck and tools Troubleshoot hydraulic and electrical systems Order parts and accurately document service work for invoicing Ensure adherence to company, safety, and manufacturer standards What You Bring 3–5 years of experience in diesel equipment repair (hydraulics & electrical) Ability to read schematics and troubleshoot complex issues Strong problem-solving, communication, and technical skills Valid driver’s license and clean driving record Class A CDL (preferred) Technical training or certifications (preferred)  Work Schedule Monday–Friday | Typical hours: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM Occasional Saturdays based on customer needs Work Environment & Physical Demands This is a hands-on, field-based role working around heavy equipment: Lift 50+ lbs, climb, bend, and work in various positions Work outdoors in changing weather conditions Exposure to mechanical equipment and shop environments Occasional work at heights  Tools & Support Fully outfitted company field service truck PPE provided, including safety glasses, gloves, and boots Backed by a knowledgeable service team and leadership support Join a Team That Values Skilled Trades At Martin Equipment, skilled technicians are critical to our success.
