Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Industrial Kitter- 1st Shift. 

The hourly rate for this position is $22.71 per hour.

What you’ll do:

The Kitter is responsible for organizing components into kits for use by the various work centers in the department


Job Functions:
•    Responsible for kitting up and maintaining kitted parts for all Industrial assembly lines.
•    Work with Industrial Assembly Lead for product prioritization.
•    Use and update Dispatch Plan to coordinate production needs. Facilitate communication with Planners and Leads using the Plan.
•    Ensure current shift is properly staged throughout the day and prepare for the subsequent shift’s start.
•    Initiate ordering and picking up of any crib parts or boxes needed from BOD.
•    Identify pending kit part shortages and request assistance from purchasing in resolving.
•    Perform 5S & Continuous Improvement in the Industrial Crib area and throughout the department.
•    Identify and put up any leftover parts not needed after a production run daily.
•    Responsible for material movement, storage, delivery of materials or products throughout the area to keep aisles clear and production organized.
•    Read and understand shop orders.
•    Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications: 
•    High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution
•    Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
•    No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.  Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area of Sherman, TX will be considered.
•    Industrial assembly and Industrial product knowledge or experience.

Preferred Qualifications: 
•    Detailed product knowledge, be able to instruct assembler.
•    Microsoft Office (Outlook & Excel)
•    Forklift experience both stand up and sit down.

Skills:

Position Criteria:
•    Ability to lift 50 lbs. occasionally to frequently (33-66%) and up to 100 lbs., with assistance, occasionally by stooping, reaching, bending.
•    Ability to stand for eight hours plus, and perform repetitive tasks.
•    Ability to follow directions, work independently and close attention to detail.
•    Work as part of a team having responsibility for assembling an entire product or component of a product.
•    Ability to reach, grasp and manipulate¬.
•    Ability to work mandatory overtime, including Saturdays, as needed by the business.
