Your Opportunity

We have an immediate opportunity for a Water / Wastewater Operator located in New Jersey. Under the direction of our Operations Manager, this position is responsible for the operation and maintenance of water / wastewater treatment plants and collection systems at multiple locations throughout New Jersey. 

This position will be based in our Toms River, NJ office. 

Your Key Responsibilities

• Assure the proper operation of water / wastewater treatment plants and collection systems in accordance with company policies and procedures and in conformance with the requirements of NJDEP.
• Perform the necessary monitoring required as part of the operation of the water / wastewater treatment plants and collection systems.
• Perform all necessary preventive maintenance on water / wastewater treatment plants and collection systems.
• Inspect daily and maintain the condition and appearance of all stations.
• Maintain all records pertaining to maintenance and treatment as required.
• Conduct sampling of the water distribution system and wastewater treatment plants and collection systems as needed.
• Perform other related duties and assignments as required.
• This position will require driving long distances on a daily basis within the state. The position will also require the employee to be available nights and weekends to answer emergency service calls should they arise.
• May be subject to extreme temperatures, noise, wet and/or humid conditions, mechanical, electrical, gas exposure hazards, fumes, dusts, mists, gases and/or poor ventilation atmospheric conditions.
