Buffalo Biodiesel Inc. is in growth mode and currently seeking a Preventative Maintenance Mechanic to support our shop operations and ensure our vehicles remain safe, reliable, and compliant.
Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on commercial trucks and fleet vehicles
- Complete DOT-compliant inspections and document all findings
- Conduct routine services: oil changes, filters, brakes, tires, fluids, batteries, lights, etc.
- Maintain accurate PM logs, service records, and inspection documentation
- Communicate vehicle status and repair needs with the head mechanic and fleet management team
- Follow all company safety standards and federal regulations
- Support shop cleanliness, organization, and inventory control
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or community college courses in automotive technology or related fields is preferred
- 2+ years' experience performing preventative maintenance on commercial trucks or heavy-duty vehicles
- Strong understanding of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and truck componentsÂ
- Ability to complete DOT-level inspections
- Reliable, hardworking, and able to work independently
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Valid driver's license; CDL preferred but not required
- Maintain a drug-free lifestyle (BBD complies with the Federal Drug-Free Workplace Act)
