Warehouse Associate

OVERVIEW

Singer Kittredge Equipment Company is part of the largest foodservice equipment and supplies distributor in the mid-Atlantic and New England region. Our branch in Tonawanda, NY is hiring a Warehouse Assistant to join their warehouse team.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Building and assembling equipment
• Scan in paperwork into shared drive
• Communicate daily with the contract department
• Responsible for moving, stocking, receiving, and packing outbound warehouse merchandise.
• Responsible for following warehouse safety regulations.
• Assists in inventory level maintenance and inventory counts.
• Operates warehouse equipment as needed to complete tasks.
• Performs work under general supervision.
• Handles moderately complex issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
• Possesses 2-4 years of experience working in a Warehouse.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High School diplomas or equivalent.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs and push up to 100lbs.
• Possess a clean driving record, obtain a valid license and pass a DOT Medical and Physical Examination.
• Work a varied work schedule to fulfill delivery of products to customers (dayshift hours but may include early mornings and/or late evenings).
• Provide excellent customer service, time management and communication skills while having a mechanically inclined mindset.
• Perform basic mechanical actions such as using basic hand tools, basic power tools, climb ladders, among other actions.
• Work well in a team environment with minimal supervision.
