At Midland Care Connection, the Employee Experience Specialist plays a key role in creating a seamless onboarding experience while supporting the people, processes, and compliance requirements that help our employees succeed. What You’ll Do The Employee Experience Specialist coordinates the onboarding process from offer acceptance through orientation, ensuring new team members have the tools, resources, and support they need to begin their careers with confidence. You’ll serve as an important point of connection for new employees, helping them navigate the steps leading up to their first day and creating a welcoming experience as they join the Midland Care team. In this role, you’ll manage new hire paperwork, employee records, required documentation, and compliance requirements while partnering closely with hiring managers and leaders to ensure each new employee has a smooth transition into the organization. You’ll also support ongoing compliance initiatives, maintain accurate employee information, and help identify opportunities to improve onboarding processes and the overall employee experience. About Midland Care Connection Midland Care Connection is a not-for-profit, community-based organization dedicated to helping older adults and seriously ill individuals stay independent and supported in their homes. Established in 1978, we provide a full continuum of care, including hospice, palliative care, home health, grief and loss counseling, and our signature PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) program. Our mission is “meeting individual needs through innovative care solutions,” and we serve people across multiple counties in northeast Kansas. What We’re Looking For We’re looking for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities while providing exceptional service to employees and leaders. This role requires someone who can handle confidential employee information with discretion, work independently while collaborating effectively with the HR team and organizational leaders, and consistently demonstrate accuracy, follow-through, and a commitment to helping others succeed. QualificationsRequired High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of 2 years of experience in human resources, administrative support, or employee onboarding Experience coordinating onboarding activities, new hire documentation, and orientation processes Knowledge of HR policies, employment laws, and confidentiality requirements Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR information systems (HRIS) Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on available information Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field 2 years of HR Generalist experience, preferably in healthcare, hospice, home care, or a nonprofit environment Experience with benefits administration and employee relations Familiarity with compliance requirements related to healthcare employment Experience developing or improving onboarding programs and employee engagement initiatives Training or facilitation experience, including conducting orientation or new employee education sessions Apply Today!
