Whether you have industrial sewing experience or strong sewing skills and a willingness to learn, Wieland Designs is looking for dependable team members to join our Sewing Department. As an Industrial Sewer, you'll use industrial sewing machines to produce high-quality seating and interior products while working in a collaborative manufacturing team. Your craftsmanship helps create products used by customers around the world. What You'll Do Operate industrial sewing machines safely and efficiently. Sew high-quality products according to customer and production specifications. Follow work instructions and quality standards. Inspect your work to ensure accuracy and craftsmanship. Work as part of a production team to meet daily goals. Cross-train on multiple products and sewing processes. Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Contribute to continuous improvement and teamwork throughout the department. What We're Looking For Basic sewing skills or the aptitude to learn through a sewing assessment. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Dependable attendance and a positive team attitude. Willingness to learn multiple products and rotate between workstations. Ability to stand throughout the shift and regularly lift up to 20 pounds. Work Environment This position is performed in a manufacturing facility and requires standing throughout the shift while operating industrial sewing machines. The work involves repetitive hand movements, light lifting, and working around fabric materials in a non-air-conditioned production environment.
