Hours: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday
Role: The Internal Audit Intern is responsible for project completion as assigned.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Perform audit procedures while gathering & documenting sufficient evidence to support audit conclusions
- Perform audit fieldwork as requested on internal audit tasks that require tact, discretion and confidentiality.
- Learn internal software systems and reporting capabilities
- Interact with others in the department on a day-to-day basis to complete projects
- Participate in scheduled meetings

Requirements
Experience & Education: Enrolled in a post-secondary degree program
Skills & Abilities: Strong written, verbal, and analytical skills
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- The ability to plan and execute projects; work must be completed with quality and accuracy
- Ability to work in a team environment while promoting a positive attitude toward teamwork

A significant level of trust is required as this position is exposed to sensitive and confidential information, which cannot be shared outside of the Department. Diplomacy, courtesy, and tact are required. Demonstrated ability to foster sound professional relationships with management is necessary.

Travel: Travel is primarily local during the business day.
Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copy machines, and filing cabinets.
