Responsibilities

  • Working under the supervision of the physicians and Clinic Supervisor, the Certified Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting nursing staff and providers with patient care and other duties associated with efficient running of the clinic.
  • Phone calls are returned.
  • Physicians are assisted with exams.
  • Special procedures are administered according to clinic policies.

Qualifications

Job Requirements: 

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.

  • Basic Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Microsoft Office knowledge.

  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job Requirements: 

  • One (1) year in a medical office or hospital preferred.
  • Current licensure Board of Certified Medical Assistants.
