Heritage Grove Estates is seeking a highly motivated and clinically skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as a leader within our skilled nursing environment. This role extends beyond routine clinical duties, offering the opportunity to influence resident outcomes, mentor team members, and drive quality care initiatives.
As an RN, you will provide direct patient care, exercise clinical judgment in complex situations, and lead interdisciplinary collaboration to ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and person-centered care. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care in accordance with individualized care plans, physician orders, and evidence-based clinical practices
- Conduct ongoing, detailed assessments of resident conditions, identifying changes and implementing appropriate clinical interventions
- Safely prepare and administer medications, treatments, and therapeutic procedures within scope of practice and regulatory guidelines
- Coordinate with physicians, interdisciplinary team members, and ancillary staff to ensure continuity, efficiency, and quality of care
- Provide education, coaching, and clinical guidance to residents and families regarding care plans, medications, and health management
- Lead, delegate, and supervise nursing assistants and support staff, ensuring accountability and adherence to care standards
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) system
- Actively participate in infection control, quality assurance, and performance improvement initiatives in alignment with KDADS and CMS standards
- Respond to changes in resident condition, including urgent and emergent situations, utilizing sound clinical judgment and established protocols
- Ensure ongoing compliance with professional standards, facility policies, and all applicable federal and state regulations
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing in the State of Kansas
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification
- Demonstrated ability to provide high-quality, resident-centered care across varying levels of acuity
- Strong clinical assessment skills, critical thinking, and decision-making capabilities
- Proven leadership ability with experience in delegation, supervision, and team development
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Commitment to clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement in resident outcomes
