Retail Sales Merchandiser - Pepsi - Topeka

Pay Based on Experience!

5 AM to 1 PM, Monday through Friday!

Position Summary: The purpose of this role is to sell and merchandise product within designated accounts. This includes stocking shelves, rotating shelved product, setting up displays, stocking and rotating products in coolers, organizing and rotating products in storage rooms, and moving products from storage to the sales floor.

Essential Job Functions

• Maintain merchandising standards and rotate products in designated accounts
• Maximize profitable sales opportunities by understanding the customer's business and building relationships based on trust and integrity with their management team
• Successfully sell promotional plans that support both the customer's and LinPepCo's business objectives and strategies
• Collaboratively sell and address customer objections to secure display and incremental opportunities
• Sell in and execute promotional strategies for new brand and package introductions
• Develop and train Merchandisers
• Track daily, weekly and monthly order activity and performance results against assigned goals and expectations
• Collaborate with cross-functional team members (e.g., delivery, merchandising) to better align with the customer needs

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license and required insurance coverage
• Reliable transportation to and from accounts
• Valid pallet jack and/or forklift certification, where necessary
• Knowledge of general merchandising
• Understanding of customer service principles and practices
• Basic proficiency with computers and tablets
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Ability to observe and follow all safety procedures
• Strong problem-solving, judgment, and decision-making skills
• High attention to detail
• Ability to complete miscellaneous job functions within scheduled timeframes
• Flexibility and adaptability to support the team in achieving company goals
• Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays

Working Environment

Work generally takes place in a store setting. Individuals must be able to operate a tablet or PC, as well as a two-wheel dolly and pallet jack.
