  • The University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus, a part of a rich legacy of compassionate care since 1909, now offers 378 licensed beds, a history of innovation, and strong community support.

Responsibilities

  • Performs speech and language, swallowing, and cognitive evaluations.
  • Establishes care plans and ensures prescribed care delivery to assigned patients in line with standards set by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and the speech and language pathology practice act in the State of Kansas.
  • Provides direction and clinical supervision to clinical support staff.
  • Promotes speech and language pathology services and professional development throughout the organization and community.
  • Reports to the assigned department leader.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

  • Active license in the State of Kansas

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • Previous medical setting or rehabilitation setting experience

  • Experience with computer applications, including Microsoft Office
