Foley Equipment, the authorized Caterpillar dealer for Kansas and northwest Missouri, is seeking a Technical Training Instructor to join our dynamic team. If you are passionate about empowering employees through effective training programs and possess a wealth of technical knowledge, we want to hear from you.
 
What You Will Do in This Role:
  • Research, plan, organize, and conduct comprehensive training programs to enhance the skills of Foley’s workforce.
  • Develop and distribute instructional materials, handouts, evaluation forms, and visual aids to optimize the learning experience.
  • Collaborate with other departments to deliver specialized training programs based on their requests.
  • Ensure timely completion of all required documentation and follow-up activities.
  • Keep training courses up to date with the latest technical developments.
  • Schedule, test, and certify technicians on relevant equipment, ensuring a high level of competency.
  • Travel is required for training and/or to assist at other locations.

  • Ability to interpret and apply technical documents, safety rules, operating procedures, and maintenance instructions.
  • Positive and upbeat attitude with excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with a diverse customer base.
  • Strong planning and organizational abilities to deliver structured and effective training programs.
  • Ability to present and facilitate skills to engage and educate participants.
  • High school diploma is required.
 
What Will Put You Ahead:
  • Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
  • Experience as a professional technical trainer or educator specializing in diesel troubleshooting, repairs, and education
  • Previous experience as a heavy equipment technician
  • Previous experience in construction, automotive, or agricultural industries
